Silcomask
Client: Silcotech Systems Valle

As leaders and specialists in the manufacture of high-precision silicone parts, Silcotech Systems Valle contacted Trem with the aim of designing, developing, and manufacturing an FFP1 mask, of a new conception with high doses of innovation that could be produced entirely in its facilities. . The manufacture should be made of silicone, a harmless material for skin, with very interesting properties of adaptability, lightness, different degrees of transparency, a wide variety of finishes, soft texture and great resistance.

The conceptualization and idea development phases, it was carried out in collaboration with the Silcotech technical team. We also count on your help to mark the technical parameters necessary for the development and manufacture of the mold. The result was a new concept, a separate double-flow mask, with nasal inspiration and expiration through two insertable conduits in the nostrils, together with another circuit for mouth breathing that both lead to the lateral filter areas. All this focused on avoiding discomfort and eye discomfort by directing the airflow in the opposite direction and maximizing the transparency qualities of the material.

The texture and non-allergenic chemistry of silicone are ideal for adapting to the most demanding faces once the optimal shape has been found. It is also suitable for reuse which, together with the concept of interchangeable filters, makes it a highly durable product.  Other factors such as ergonomics, comfort, being able to produce in a single mold, as well as outstanding aesthetics, were important challenges in the development of the product.

Silcomask is a new concept worldwide of the FFP1 type mask, which combines ergonomics adaptable to different faces, the comfort of use thanks to the material used for its manufacture, great durability compared to current masks, and safety of use by being able to sanitize it as many times as possible. be desired.

Result

The non-allergenic texture and chemistry of silicone are ideal for, once the optimal shape is found, adapting to the most demanding faces.

It is also ideal for reuse which, together with the concept of interchangeable filters, makes it a highly durable product.  Other factors such as ergonomics, comfort, being able to produce in a single mold, as well as outstanding aesthetics, were important challenges in the development of the product.
